In the world of reference audio, every element in the signal path matters. Even where only digital data is transmitted, the quality of a cable's construction determines its resistance to interference, transmission stability and preservation of signal integrity. That is why we created ALBEDO Reference LAN — an uncompromising network cable designed for systems in which no compromises are accepted.
At the heart of its construction are conductors made from monocrystalline silver — a material whose properties have formed the foundation of our brand's philosophy for more than three decades. The monocrystalline structure and the highest purity of the silver ensure exceptional uniformity of conduction and create an ideal foundation for signal transmission with maximum integrity.
Each pair of conductors is insulated with pure PTFE (Teflon®) — a dielectric valued for its exceptionally low permittivity, stable properties and minimal energy storage. This allows the cable's properties to remain unchanged regardless of operating time and conditions of use.
To limit the impact of mechanical vibrations and micro-resonances, we use a specially developed damping layer made from aramid fibers. It stabilizes the geometry of the conductors, reducing phenomena that could affect signal transmission conditions.
The Art of Pure Signal
Each bundle of conductors has its own individual shield, providing effective isolation from electromagnetic interference and limiting interaction between the individual pairs. The entire assembly is enclosed in an outer antistatic layer, designed to limit the accumulation of electrostatic charges and provide additional protection for the whole construction against environmental influences.
The cable's architecture serves a single purpose — preserving maximum data transmission integrity while limiting the impact of electromagnetic interference, mechanical vibrations and electrostatic effects. Every construction detail is the result of years of research and ALBEDO's experience in designing cables that use silver as a conducting material.
In a well-configured audio system, ALBEDO Reference LAN allows modern music servers, streamers and digital-to-analog converters to reach their full potential. The result is exceptional soundstage stability, more precisely defined phantom sound sources, greater clarity in complex recordings and a natural sense of ease in the presentation.
