Cookies and site technology
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values saved by your browser. Local storage is another browser mechanism that can keep preferences between visits. They are specific to a browser and device; clearing storage or using another browser can change which preferences the site remembers.
This page covers the technologies actually used by the Albedo Silver website, not a list of cookies presumed to exist because a consent tool offers a category. The data controller is Albedo Pure Silver Connections, Grzegorz Gierszewski, ul. Wiśniowa 59, 85-364 Bydgoszcz, Poland; contact [email protected]. Details of legal bases, recipients, retention criteria and your rights are in the privacy policy.
Necessary preferences and security
The locally served CookieYes consent tool uses the first-party cookie cookieyes-consent to remember a consent identifier, whether a choice was made and the selected categories. The site's configured expiry is 365 days, unless you change the preference or remove the cookie earlier. Necessary preferences are enabled by default; functional, analytics, performance and advertisement categories are off until selected. An advertisement or performance category name is not evidence that such trackers run: this site does not use advertising measurement.
Necessary preference storage is not disabled by rejecting optional categories. Cloudflare also handles hosting and security requests. On the contact page, Turnstile is loaded automatically for bot verification, without optional consent. Its technical processing is described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy information; we do not claim that a particular challenge cookie is always set on this site. CookieYes documents its consent cookie and default expiry at WordPress.org and in its banner documentation.
Optional Google Analytics and policy preference
Google Analytics 4 (GA4) measures visits, page views and sessions only after a fresh, informed analytics choice in the CookieYes panel. A previous choice does not authorise the new Google service. With basic Consent Mode, the Google tag stays blocked before consent and no analytics or cookieless measurement requests are sent to Google. DNT and GPC also block analytics; if the required preference storage is unavailable, analytics remains off.
After consent, GA4 sets the first-party cookie _ga to distinguish browsers and _ga_<container-id> to maintain session state. Google's standard expiry is 2 years, refreshed on use; browser limits may shorten it. See Google's cookie documentation. Withdrawal stops further collection and removes this website's GA cookies, but does not erase data previously sent to Google. The separate 14-month user/event retention setting, without reset on new activity, does not limit standard aggregated reports; see the retention section.
The localStorage preference albedo-analytics-policy with value ga4-v1 records the version of the analytics notice accepted, not a visitor identifier. It has no independent automatic expiry and may remain until changed or removed, but never grants consent by itself: a valid CookieYes analytics choice, configured for 365 days, is also required. Clearing either preference or letting the consent cookie expire blocks analytics until a fresh choice is made. We do not send form fields or query strings/fragments from page or referrer URLs to GA4, or use advertising features, Google signals or user-provided data. Google Search Console provides search and indexing reports, not an additional visitor-tracking script on this site.
External content, maps and links
YouTube and StereoTimes embedded frames are replaced with placeholders until functional consent is given. The site's DNT/GPC check also blocks these frames. Loading an allowed frame contacts its provider, which may use its own cookies or other storage. See Google's privacy policy for YouTube and StereoTimes for the external review service. Rejecting functional consent leaves the embedded content unloaded.
The contact map is not consent-gated: local Leaflet code automatically downloads tiles from OpenStreetMap when you open the contact page. These tile requests disclose your IP address, browser information and referrer to OpenStreetMap Foundation; see its privacy policy. The ordinary Facebook link does not install a Meta widget or SDK; clicking it takes you to an external service. These legal pages do not embed the map, videos or reviews.
